Sam Leseney, MS, BCBA

Lead BCBA

Hello! I am Sam! I have been in the field of ABA for almost 15 years with experience in early intervention, school support, intensive behavior, and social skills work with teens and adults! My therapy approach is the following: Cooperation, not compliance; Progress, not perfection; Discomfort, not distress. Our learners are the experts in how their bodies work, learn, and grow and it's my job as a practitioner to meet them where they are at! In my free time, you can find me outside with my 2 dogs or on the couch with a good book!
I look forward to meeting and working with you and your family!

What is Applied Behavior Analysis?

Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) is the practice of applying the psychological principles of learning and behavior in a systematic way to modify undesired behaviors and increase areas of skill deficit. The practice is most studied and used in special education and in the treatment of Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD).

ABA can target a wide variety of skills such as: self help, adaptive skills, social skills, play skills, and academic prerequisite skills.

ABA can help diminish behaviors such as: tantrum, aggression, self injury, sleep and feeding issues.
